The tour

This challenging day tour first takes you through the picturesque Mürztal Valley towards Gesäuse National Park, eventually reaching the impressive Admont Abbey. The abbey is home to the largest monastic library in the world and offers a unique blend of Baroque and contemporary architecture with its modern museum. You'll find artwork from the Middle Ages to the present, a Natural History Museum, early manuscripts and prints, as well as fascinating special exhibitions. From there, the journey continues along the Lower Austrian-Styrian border to Lunz am See and finally to the famous pilgrimage site of Mariazell.
